Hi, everyone
My name is Katie Sewap from Deschambault Lake, Saskatchewan. First of all I know little about technology. However , It is quite very exciting to learn about it. I already have an idea what I will be working on in my project.
Well, I will introduce myself. I live in Deschambault Lake with my family. I lived here most of my life. I am married to Michael and we have 4 beautiful children ages 16, 9, 4, & 2 years old.
I am bit anxious about taking this course for two reasons. First, I feel a bit out of place. I am with the faculty of social work. This class will be used as an elective toward my degree and it is the last course. The second reason is I am a bit nervous about my writing & sharing ideas to other students because english is my second language and that most or all of you students are in the teaching field. However, I am looking forward to learning what the profession is all about because my plans is to have a career change by enrolling into the BEAD program with U of R/FNUC in January 2009. So hopefully I will learn a lot from everyone by taking this course.
I do have experience in the school setting. I worked as a teacher assistant in grades 4 to 9 and as a guidance counsellor for both schools in my community.
